Welcome to the 2025 local election for School Director in the Bellefonte Area School District. Although the W4B Selection Committee of like minded citizens worked to select four candidates for your consideration, there have been some unforeseen board changes and candidates withdrawing that has changed the dynamics for this election. 

Therefore, you won't see our signs of support for candidates in our five municipalities that make up the Bellefonte Area School District.  We do not have recommendations for this cycle but know you will complete your own analysis of who you believe best represents the goals stated on this page.

The people of our community realize the importance of providing a focused education for every student.  Parents and members of the community are partners as well and need to be heard, not ignored. Win4Bellefonte will only recommend candidates that respect the ideas and concerns presented to them.  When we can't find such candidates, then we will focus on the next election cycle which is 2027.  At that time, five board member slots will be open.  We hope anyone contemplating to run will contact us using the link below.

Our mission:

1. Support the district's infrastructure needs, including the new Bellefonte Elementary School project, and other extracurricular facilities.

2. Ensure the education of the whole student to include academics, athletics, fine arts, clubs, and extracurricular opportunities.

3. Address mainstream learning gaps at all levels and enhance the identification of special needs and gifted students, including testing and IEP's.

4. Ensure students are exposed to all paths for success after graduating, including life skills, trade skills, and college.

5. Ensure policies that will teach students how to think, not what to think, and ensure the district remains committed to focusing on academics.

6. Ensure that students, parents, teachers, and the community's voices are heard by prioritizing open communication regarding policies and curriculum. 

7. Ensure full support to the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology, as a member school district, providing for financial and leadership needs.
